Personal and team work
Understand who owns a resource and who can see or change it.
Every account has Personal, a private context for its own resources. A shared team is a named group of members with resources of its own. Magpie uses the word Team, not workspace.
The selected Personal or team context decides where a new team-scoped item is created. Existing items stay with their owner when you switch. A contact made under Personal will therefore not appear while a team is selected, and a team note is not copied into every member's Personal notes.
Team admins control membership, resource access, plan and billing, and the team's connected payment account. A product object can have additional rules: a public board may be readable outside the team, while its settings still belong to team members.
Your account identity is separate from ownership. The same display name, handle, and bio identify you across teams and public product pages.
For member roles and invitations, see Create and manage a team. If access does not match the team settings, Contact support.
