Record and share your screen
Capture a screen with optional microphone and camera, then share or download the recording.
Open Screen Recorder and choose Record. Enter a title, then choose the video orientation and how a shared screen should be positioned when its shape differs from the output.
Turn on microphone audio to narrate. Turn on the camera to place your video in the selected corner and shape. In Floating bubble mode, use Camera size to make the camera smaller or larger, then drag it in the preview if needed. To capture sound from a browser tab or window, enable audio in the browser's screen-sharing chooser; the microphone option is separate.
Start recording, select a screen, window, or tab, and stop when finished. Keep the page open while the browser assembles and uploads the file. Plan determines the maximum duration, weekly recording allowance, and output quality.
The Recordings page provides the share link. You can rename, download, or delete a recording. Deletion stops the share link and is permanent. Anyone with a live share link can open the recording, so do not use it for material that requires named-recipient access.
The share page shows the recording, its title, who recorded it, the date and the length. Share and Edit appear only for you; anyone you send the link to sees the recording and Download. A still frame taken from the recording is used as the page's opening image and as the thumbnail when the link is pasted into a chat app or posted, so the link previews as a picture of the recording.
Once a recording is ready, Edit opens the image editor. Pause on the moment you want an image to appear, choose Add image to pick one from your image library, then drag and resize it on the video. The panel beside the video sets when it appears and how long it stays on screen - five seconds by default, adjustable from a few frames to the whole recording - and the timeline underneath does the same by dragging a block or either of its ends. You can add as many images as you like, including several at once, reordering which sits on top with the layer buttons. Click Save to apply image changes to the share link; the original recording file is never changed. A downloaded MP4 includes the images; changing one after downloading regenerates the file the next time it is downloaded.
The editor also shows the video as segments. Drag a segment edge to trim the start or end. Pause inside a kept segment and choose Split at playhead, then select a segment and choose Remove segment to cut it out. These changes stay in the editor until you choose Save. The share page skips removed parts immediately, and the downloaded MP4 is rendered with the cuts and images together. The original recording file is never changed.
If screen capture is unavailable, check browser and operating-system recording permission. If a completed upload never appears, Contact support.
