A selected Personal or team context can have one newsletter. Start it from Newsletter with a name and an optional description. The signup page and, when web copies are on, the archive both live at its public address. That address is shown on the Newsletter page so any team member can share it.

Settings is for team admins. The newsletter holds the name, description and public address. Signups and archive controls whether the newsletter is active, whether the signup page takes new addresses, and whether sent email keeps a public web copy. Outgoing email sets the from name, the reply-to address and the footer note. These describe this newsletter; they do not create a second Magpie account identity.

Changing the public address breaks links already shared, including those in email already sent.

Public signup uses double opt-in. A submitted address receives a confirmation message and becomes active only after the person opens the confirmation page and confirms. The response does not reveal whether an address was already on the list.

Pausing a newsletter or closing signups does not delete subscribers. Turning off the public archive hides browser copies from the archive route; it cannot recall email already delivered.

If a confirmation email does not arrive, the subscriber should check spam and verify the address before trying again. For repeated delivery failures across valid addresses, Contact support.
