The stats page
What the public numbers mean, and how to put a note on your payment.
The stats page shows how many people have a Magpie account, how many pay for Pro, and every payment as it arrives.
The page is public, but the figures are not. Signed out, every number on it is replaced with X characters and blurred, and the payment list shows no notes and no names. The real values are not in the page at all, so there is nothing to find by reading its source. Sign in and the numbers are there.
What each figure counts
Users is accounts that still exist. It leaves out the placeholder records created for people who booked a meeting without signing up.
Paying is active Pro subscriptions, counted one per person rather than one per team. Hover or focus the label for the monthly and yearly split. A team runs on its owner's plan, so a team does not add to the count. Subscriptions that are on trial, or whose last payment failed and is still being retried, are counted as paying — the same rule the rest of Magpie uses.
Monthly recurring is what those subscriptions come to per month, using what each person was actually charged. A yearly payment counts as a twelfth of itself. Annual run rate is twelve months at that figure. It is a projection of this month, not a record of the last twelve.
Received to date is every Pro payment recorded, added up.
The payment list
Payments are grouped by day. The date is written once at the top of the group, and each payment in it carries its own time, shown in your account's time zone.
Each line is a sentence: the time, then what came in and what for — "$7.99 came in for a monthly renewal." A note appears underneath it.
A line shows your name only while you have a note on it. Without a note, the line is there but nothing identifies you. The amount is shown either way, so a subscription bought with a discount code shows the discounted price.
Writing a note
Open Billing and edit Note on the stats page. The note goes on your most recent payment.
How much you can write depends on what you paid for:

Clearing the note removes it and your name from the line.
If you pay monthly, each renewal is a new payment with its own empty note, so you can write a new one each month. A yearly note stays on its payment for the year.
Notes are public to anyone signed in. A site administrator can hide one, which removes the note and your name from the line; the payment still counts.
