- What happens after I sign up?
- Create your identity profile and sign an authorization once. Magpie prepares and submits removal requests to covered sites on your behalf. If a site requires confirmation from you, Magpie tells you what you need to do.
- Do I need to know where my information appears?
- No. Magpie checks the covered sites for you, finds the records that match your details and handles the removal process.
- What kinds of personal information does Magpie remove?
- Data brokers and people-search sites build profiles from personal details: your name and other names you have used, current and previous addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, age and date of birth, employers, and the relatives and associates listed alongside you. Magpie finds those records on covered sites and submits removal requests for them.
- What information do I need to provide?
- Add your name, date of birth, current address and account email. Previous addresses, phone numbers and other email addresses can help with removal requests but are optional.
- What if there's a particular site I want my information removed from?
- Send us the site. Magpie handles removal requests outside the regular coverage list as well. Magpie takes care of the removal process where the site provides one, and tells you if the site requires something from you directly. Send the details to support.
- How long does removal take?
- Each site controls its own opt-out process. Some respond quickly, while others take longer or require confirmation from you.
- What if my information comes back?
- Magpie keeps checking. Data brokers regularly receive new and updated information from many sources, so removed information can appear again. When Magpie finds information that has returned, it starts the removal process again.
- Does Magpie keep checking after my information has been removed?
- Yes. Data Removal includes continuing checks for the whole of your subscription, not a single pass at the start.
- Who does a subscription cover?
- One Data Removal subscription covers one person.
- How does Magpie protect my information?
- Your information is encrypted and never sold. Magpie does not keep identity documents that a data broker asks you to provide directly. Privacy details · Security
- What happens when I cancel?
- Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your paid plan and Data Removal access continue to the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Can I get a refund?
- If you first buy a paid Magpie plan through Data Removal, contact support within 30 days of that payment. If Magpie has not submitted your first removal request, the payment is refunded in full. After that, the refund is prorated for the time remaining in the billing period. The policy applies to the first payment, not renewals. A refund ends the paid plan and Data Removal access. Cancelling by itself does not request a refund.
