RSS Reader controls and keyboard shortcuts
Move through items, mark them read, open originals, and change the timeline view.
RSS Reader supports mouse, touch, and keyboard use. Press ? on the RSS Reader page to
open the current shortcut list. The main reading commands include moving to the
next or previous item, opening an item, marking it read or unread, and opening
the original page.
Keyboard commands are ignored while focus is in a text field or another control that needs the same key. If a command appears not to work, click or focus the timeline first.
All includes read and unread items; Unread narrows the stream. Selecting one subscription narrows the same timeline to it. Preview, compact, and expanded control how much item content is shown and do not change read state.
Mark an individual item read or unread from its footer, or use Mark all read to clear the current unread backlog. Marking an item unread makes it available in the unread filter again. Removing its feed is broader and removes that subscription from RSS Reader.
If keyboard focus becomes trapped or the shortcut panel cannot be closed with the keyboard, Contact support.
